A bag that truly feels like something you wear.
Among MEISENNE's bags, the mini boston allows you to enjoy the pattern most fully. When the design of Isesaki Meisen, where geometric and natural motifs intersect, spreads across the surface of the boston bag, you'll understand what it means to "wear" it.
Though it's called "mini," it's an exquisite size that can properly hold everything you need for a day out, such as your wallet, smartphone, keys, and pouch. And, curiously, precisely because of this size, it elegantly fits into any scene.
Casual with denim. Formal with a suit. Its presence isn't overshadowed even when placed next to a party dress. From everyday to special occasions, the mini boston's true value lies in its versatility, completing any look.
With genuine leather handles and a shoulder strap, it can be carried by hand or over the shoulder. MEISENNE's meticulous attention to detail is evident in every single metal fitting.
This bag's design suits both Western and Japanese clothing.
"Today, I choose this" – infuse such a small yet firm declaration of will into your daily attire.

<About Isesaki Meisen>
A silk textile that flourished in Isesaki City, Gunma Prefecture, from the Taisho to early Showa periods.
The greatest charm of Isesaki Meisen's patterns lies in their boldness. Geometric patterns are freely combined with natural motifs like flowers and plants, and dyed with exceptionally vivid colors for kimonos of that era. Furthermore, the unique "blurring" and "fluctuation" derived from the pre-dying kasuri (ikat) technique — where outlines are slightly softened, and colors smoothly blend into one another — create a gentle depth not found in other kimonos.
More individuality than formality. More freedom than rules. Meisen was a fabric whose patterns embodied such a spirit. Just as women of that time unhesitatingly chose its colors and patterns, MEISENNE inherits that aesthetic sensibility into a contemporary form.
<What is the Kikko pattern (亀甲柄)?>
This is a geometric pattern of perfectly arranged regular hexagons. Named "Kikko" (turtle shell) for its resemblance to a turtle's shell, it has been one of Japan's traditional patterns used in kimonos and furnishings for over 1,000 years.
The hexagon is one of the most stable shapes, found in nature in beehives and snowflakes. For this reason, it has been cherished since ancient times as an auspicious pattern symbolizing "longevity, prosperity, and good fortune."
The Kikko pattern textile used in this bag reinterprets the bold color schemes and geometric aesthetic of Isesaki Meisen into a modern design.
<Commitment to jacquard fabric development>
Compared to ordinary jacquard fabrics, this one is woven with several times more threads, making it exceptionally durable.
The threads are carefully selected to reproduce the luster and presence characteristic of Isesaki Meisen.
