The fabric is a textile that reproduces Isezaki Meisen designs, digitally archived and revived with modern weaving technology. It makes use of the "blur and ripple" inherent in Meisen's ikat. This pattern, mainly combining diamonds and squares, has an ethnic feel to it, yet also resembles argyle, exuding a unique charm.
By combining it with genuine leather instead of just fabric, it adds a touch of elegance without becoming too casual.

This bag's design suits both Western and Japanese attire.

A silk fabric that flourished in Isezaki City, Gunma Prefecture, from the Taisho to early Showa periods.
The greatest appeal of Isezaki Meisen patterns lies in their boldness. Geometric patterns were freely combined with natural motifs like flowers and plants, and dyed with exceptionally vivid colors for kimonos of that era. Furthermore, the unique "blurring" and "rippling" derived from the pre-dyed ikat technique—where outlines are slightly softened, and colors blend smoothly—creates a soft depth unlike any other kimono.

Individuality over formality. Freedom over rules. Meisen was a fabric embodying such a spirit in its patterns. Just as women of that time unhesitatingly chose its colors and patterns, MEISENNE inherits that aesthetic into modern forms.
